The Career Development Center is excited to announce the Winter Break Shadow Program. This program is for first year students only. This is a great opportunity to spend a day with an alum and learn more about the
world of work. There are opportunities in television, sports, marketing, community organizing and more! Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to do something productive during winter break.
Attached you will find the list of possible shadowing experiences. Students are eligible to participate in only 1 opportunity but you may apply for up to 2. Please submit a 1-2 paragraph statement for each opportunity for which you wish to be considered. In the statement please focus on why you should be chosen for this program and how exposure to the organization will benefit you.
If you are chosen to participate, you will be given the contact information of the alum and the two of you will work out a mutually convenient day to meet during winter break.
There are a limited number of spots available!
Deadline to apply is Friday, December 11 at 5pm.

The Richard Smoke* and McKinney Family Summer Fellowships support undergraduates pursuing internships abroad that relate to contemporary global problems. The Jack Ringer Fellowships support research or internships in Southeast Asia. The Marla Ruzicka International Public Service Fellowship supports one undergraduate whose summer research or internship relates to international human rights, post-conflict rehabilitation, or public service.
Interested students are responsible for developing their own research projects or finding their own internship positions. Funding will be provided only for unpaid internships and will not cover fees to participate in study abroad, exchange or other similar programs.
The application deadline for Summer 2010 Fellowships is March 15.

*Please note that the Smoke Fellowship is not being offered for summer 2010.

Pixar has created some of the most successful and beloved animated films of all time, including Toy Story, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Cars, and most recently, UP. The next film release from Disney/Pixar is Toy Story 3 (June 18, 2010).

The curricular practical training part of this presentation is designed for undergraduate and graduate students who have been in F-1 status for a minimum of one academic year and who are interested in a paid internship off campus.
