Plan & Market your Event

The Career Development Center staff is available to assist with the logistics of your event to ensure its' success. Typically, when you plan an event on campus you will receive an email from the Employer Relations team to confirm all your event needs—media, catering, setup, etc.

Basic media is included for events held at the Career Development Center, which means you will not incur an additional charge for media, in addition to the feel for the room. Catering is an additional fee and varies depending on the type and quantity of refreshments ordered. For all events outside of the Career Development Center, please note the fees charged by campus media and catering .

Events held at the Faculty Club are independently handled by their staff.

It is important to note, that with the exception of events being held at the Faculty Club, all requests should go through the Career Development Center. This ensures that all vendors will arrive at the correct time and requested services are properly in place.

When you post an event with the Career Development Center, your event is automatically marketed through a number of venues. First, your event will always appear on our recruiting site, Brown Career Connection. In addition, it will appear on our main web page and be marketed through newsletters and day of email reminders.

Another key strategy for marketing your event is to place an advertisement in Brown’s daily newspaper, The Brown Daily Herald. With a weekly circulation of 20,000, you are sure to reach your target audience. To post an ad, contact them directly by email.
