Masters Candidates

There are myriad career opportunities available for Brown Masters students following graduation. Your Brown degree will be an outstanding selling point for you, as well as your coursework, research and other experiences. It is essential that early on during your time at Brown you consider your next steps, planning ahead to do research on industries, employers and options as well as honing your job search skills. The Career Development Center is pleased to offer our services to Masters students at every step along the way.

As most Masters students will study at Brown for a short amount of time, you are encouraged to make connections with the CDC early. Meet with a counselor and learn about our resources, including Brown Career Connection, and take advantage of our special job search series for Masters students. Depending on the career field in which you are interested, you might need to gear up your search very early during your time at Brown. Students who are studying for 18 months to two years might be interested in finding an internship. We are happy to speak with you about the job or internship search timeline.

International students will need to be aware of organization sponsorship, visa requirements and OPT/CPT limitations. The Office of International Students and Scholars is an important resource for visa information.
