Job Offer Decision Making

For new graduates, making the decision to accept a job or to say no is often not an easy one. You will need to consider not only salary and benefits and the "fit" of the job for your interests, but also location, commuting, cost of living, lifestyle and more. If the monetary offer is good, but the lifestyle demands are not quite what you had in mind, it is time to get out your notebook and look at the pros and cons of the offer.

Where are you able to compromise, and where do you need to hold the line? Can you consider a position with some negative aspects if you know it is temporary until you apply to graduate school? Or, do you need to have the lifestyle as well as the professional aspects in place. If you need to, ask for time to make your decision. You want to make the decision that is best for you, and for the employer.
