Additional Resources for International Careers

DEAN OF THE COLLEGE/RESOURCE CENTER The Resource Center, under the auspices of the Office of the Dean of the College,  encourages student-initiated projects and fosters experiential learning. The Resource Center is where students can begin to explore Brown's unique educational opportunities - GISPs, ISPs, academic internships, and leavetaking programs. OFFICE OF INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS (OIP) OIP provides undergraduate study abroad opportunities to approximately 350 students every year. Under the auspices of the Dean of the College and in conjunction with the faculty, OIP provides advising and library services to students considering study abroad, reviews applications and student records, administers Brown programs world-wide, verifies and processes credit transfer for study abroad, and sponsors visiting students and faculty from Brown's partner institutions.

WATSON INSTITUTE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDIES The Watson Institute's mission and scope include support of interdisciplinary research, teaching, and public education on international affairs, an area of inquiry encompassing interstate relations; transnational, regional, and global phenomena; and cross-national, comparative studies.

INTERNATIONAL HEALTH INSTITUTE Brown University established the International Health Institute in 1988 to promote, develop, and coordinate the international health activities of Brown University, its faculty, and its students by applying an interdisciplinary approach to the development of research, education, and training. Directed by Charles Carpenter, M.D., the institute is dedicated to improving the health status of the world's population, particularly those living in developing countries, and fostering multi-disciplinary exchanges of health-related expertise between the U.S. and partners abroad.

AIESEC AIESEC - International Association of Business and Economics: AIESEC (pronounced eye-sec) is an international business and exchange organization. Their goal is to contribute to international understanding. They do this through exchange with 87 member countries. They work with companies in Providence to bring over foreign interns, as well as send members abroad for internships.
