Brown Career Connection
When you begin your internship search, check here. This is Career Development's primary resource for listing internships. Internships range from science to business to nonprofit opportunities. Each year at Brown, usually in February and March, a number of employers choose to conduct interviews for internships on-campus. These internship opportunities are very competitive and are typically in the areas of banking, consulting and computer science. These internships are located within Brown Career Connection and will be posted as they are received.
Summer Internship Survey Database
Many Brown students have completed a survey about their internship experiences. Get ideas from what others have done in many different career fields. This is a great resource on our website!

FUNDING: BIAP and AIP Career Development Internship Awards for low paying or unpaid internships
Career Development coordinates a summer internship awards program enabling many students to pursue opportunities that would otherwise be financially out of reach. The Aided Internship Program (AIP) waives the summer earnings requirement for students on financial aid. The BIAP program gives monetary support to selected students. Deadline is mid-March and awards are announced mid-April.
BRUnet
BRUnet is a web database of over 8,000 Brown alumni who have volunteered to share their career experiences with Brown students through informational interviews. These alums don't have jobs or internships, but have information - a valuable resource for exploring careers. The Alumni Relations homepage also has a housing bulletin board.

Create your own internship or summer work experience
Family, friends, alums, faculty and the web can all be instrumental in an effort to create your own internship. Networking is key, as is knowing how to use resources. Organizations that don't offer a formal internship program may be interested in a student who presents a well thought out plan. We'll work with you to help you land what you are looking for!
