Campus Recruiting

The resources for finding internships and jobs are limitless. However, one excellent resource available to you is the campus recruiting program at Brown University.

The Career Development Center offers a robust campus recruiting program. There is no shortage of employers looking to partner with Brown, and the employer relations team monitors and screens the organizations to assure the opportunities they offer are a good fit for Brown students. In addition, we are continually conducting outreach to develop new partnerships with employers. We engage with organizations across a spectrum of industries and occupations that are looking to fill internship and job opportunities with Brown students.

Employers recruit at Brown because they are looking for passionate, independent thinkers with a liberal arts background that brings diversity to the ways in which problems are approached and solved. Brown students challenge themselves and excel in and out of the classroom – they are committed to learning and making a difference in some capacity. They are great multi-taskers and time managers. These characteristics prove valuable in the workplace, resulting in highly successful Brown employees.

Employer recruiting activities offer Brown students the opportunity to learn about different companies and industries, meet with recruiters and alums, and apply for internships and jobs online.

To stay abreast of what’s happening through the campus recruiting program, begin with activating and updating your account on Brown Career Connection. Check Brown Career Connection and the Career Development Center web calendar for a list of upcoming application deadlines and recruiting events.

In addition to the calendar, the CDC will maintain communications with students through a variety of mediums, including weekly electronic class newsletters, weekly application deadline reminders, and occasional emails to targeted students through Brown Career Connection.

Our goal is to help provide students with access to all types of opportunities, but depending on the type of industry and the organization there are varying degrees of employer engagement in campus recruiting activities and visibility on campus. Know that organizations engage with the CDC throughout the year, so it's helpful to ckec Brown Career Connection regularly. If you have interest in organizations or industries not active in campus recruiting, be sure to meet with a counselor to develop strategies to pursue your areas of interest.
