Online Career Assessments

The first step to conducting a successful job search is self-assessment -- to develop a better understanding of one's personality, interests, work style, skills, aptitudes, values and priorities.

Identifying information about yourself allows you to refine your focus, clarify career goals, and find work that is the right “fit” for you!

Assessment develops vocabulary about yourself to impart to others in a position to help you - in preparation for informational and traditional interviews.

A variety of tools and resources are available to guide you through this process, including assessments on the Internet. To get started, investigate some of the Web sites listed below.

Note: While an extensive array of self- assessment tools are available on the Internet, we recommend making an appointment with a counselor at the Career Development Center to review how the information specifically relates to your career choices.
